The 13^th Asian Oceanian Congress of Neurology will be held at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The Asian and Oceanian Association of Neurology is pleased to be staging the next Congress at the Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre, Australia in June 2012. This Congress is returning to Melbourne for this first time since 1966.

The AOAN is committed to promoting and fostering on an international scale the advancement, exchange and diffusion of information and ideas relating to the nervous system and encouraging scientific researches in neurological problems. It also hosts the Asian and Oceanian Congress of Neurology (AOCN) once every four years. The inaugural AOCN was held in Nippon Teshi Center on October 7-10, 1962 under the leadership of Prof. Okinaka. Since then, various countries have hosted the AOCN. The 2^nd congress was held in Melbourne, Australia, the 3^rd took place in Bombay, India, the 4^th in Bangkok, Thailand, followed by the 5^th in Manila, Philippines, 6^th in Taiwan, 7^th in Bali, Indonesia, 8^th in Tokyo, Japan, the 9^th in Seoul, Korea, 10^th in Manila, Philippines, 11^th in Singapore and the 12^th in New Delhi.

The AOCN 2012 will cover a diverse range of neurological topics and include world-renowned speakers. The high quality scientific program will also be complemented by an equally exciting social program, allowing delegates the opportunity to network and catch up with colleagues and friends as well as discover the unique and exciting parts of Melbourne.
